Panda rosette!

I'm thinking of the combination of ribbons for this panda.

It's not s hard to make the pleated ribbon, but it's difficult to think the combination.

This will be for my son, but I'm going to make more for my ETSY shop.

Rosette

Rosettes are  very popular in Japan now,  mostly for wedding items, also as brooches or bag charms.

A couple of months ago, I began to give lessons of rosette making with my friends.

It's very fun and I enjoy making them every day. Now I like making ones with denim ribbons.

We'll give lessons for girls two weeks later. Miyu also enjoyed making  one as a sample.
Rosettes of this picture are what Miyu and her friends made as samples.

Pockets!

Most of skirts and dresses have no pockets.
But my daughter needs a pocket for a handkerchief. Many kids in Japan have clip-on pockets but she doesn't like them because of the hard and disturbing clips.

So I made a sew-on pocket for her.
I put 2 tabs to sew easily on her skirt.
She likes it very much and I'll make more for other skirts.

Hello,
I'm sorry I couldn't post for such a long time.
I and my family are doing very well.
Now my daughter is 6 years old and my son is 2 years old.
They both are very cute but for them I couldn't have enough time to sew.

For my daughter's school I made some hankies of cotton double gauze. But some od  her skirts have no pockets, I put straps for them.
I also put a tie , so when she put her hankie on her skirt, she can fold it like a ribbon. She can use her hankie as a charm.

I'm going to post as much as possible when I sew new items.
Thanks for reading my poor English.

hand-kneaded Udon (Japanese wheat noodle)

 Hello!
Miyu likes using hands like me and makes something everyday.
We sometimes cook Udon and she has learned how to cook it already.

At first she kneaded the flour well by hand.
Then she rolled out the dough using a roll pin.
She cut it by herself and at last I put them in the soup.
 Finished!

This time she cooked the noodle almost all by herself.
I cooked only the soup.

Usually she doesn't eat so much but she asked a refill (* v *)!!!!

I'm sewing very much these days because in April she starts kindergarten.
I sewed her bags, smocks and clothes.
She likes this camisole top and pants. Her friend wore the same ones.

Now she doesn't want to start kindergarten because she is afraid of it and wants to stay home with me more.
So I'm making items for her to cheer her up with my hand sewing items.
I hope she gets used to her kindergarten soon...

 See you soon!!!

Otama

Tonight I knit these Otamas after Miyu fell asleep.
They are so sweet (* v *)!!!!
Several years ago, the writer of the book had a web site on which I could find the chart of Otama. When I wanted to knit them again, I found the site had gone already.

Fortunately I found the book in the library yesterday.

Miyu will like them because she likes tadpoles very much.
I'd like to knit them more and make Miyu laugh (* v *)!!!!

How to make a Yo-Yo bracelet

I like knit fabric sewing lately.

So I made some Yo-Yos using my favorite knit fabrics.

It's very easy to sew and needs little piece of fabrics. I'd like to show you how I made it.

First I cut 3-inch diameter circles. I need 4 Yo-Yos for a bracelet.

Then I made Yo-Yos with them and put my favorite buttons on them.

I made a patchwork cord on which I put Yo-Yos.

And I put a button on the end of the cord and made a loop on the other end.

That's all!
The gray fabric is sweat and the other one is Jacquard knit.
I also made my neck warmer, my husband's and Miyu's with the sweat fabric(* v *).
They make us very warm in this cold house.

Have a good day!!!!
